how do commissions work?

do you want wool or cotton or if available flax? and what color? after you order, baily will communicate with you the fiber and color options, you pick, and she makes it. it’s about a 6 week process depending on how long the yarn order takes to arrive.
this design takes 1000 yards of a bulkier weight yarn = estimated cost $100 if we can source four 250 yard skeins at $25/skein.
this design takes about 5.5 hours of knitting and blocking, with 4 hours of hand sewing it together. this is colorada couture, y’all - not fast fashion. adding .5 hours of communicating design preferences & shipping, the estimated final cost of this is = $400 for living wage (10 hours at $40/hour) + $100 in yarn costs =
